Medical Director

Dr. Back K. Kim, MD

As Medical Director of Glamoi Med Spa, Dr. Back K. Kim brings an extraordinary depth of medical expertise to the world of aesthetics. His mission from day one has been straightforward: make a wide range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments available to New Yorkers who deserve the best, at prices that don't require a Wall Street salary.

Dr. Kim received his medical education and training at some of the most respected institutions in the country and world, including the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Brown University in Providence, Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland, Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, and the Seoul National University College of Medicine.

He holds board certification in cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and cardiovascular disease from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Beyond Glamoi, Dr. Kim serves as Director of the Cardiovascular Patient Outreach and Research Program at Lenox Hill Hospital and as a clinical instructor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College — both in New York City. He is also the co-founder of Glamoi-affiliated Heart Vein NYC, which opened in 2010. Dr. Kim is fluent in Korean, English, and Spanish.

Registered Nurse & Injector

Douglas Blanco, RN

Douglas Blanco joined the Glamoi Med Spa team in 2019 as an aesthetic nurse and injector, bringing a rare combination of clinical training and artistic sensibility to every treatment. As a registered nurse and foreign-trained physician from Venezuela, Douglas carries both the medical foundation of a doctor and the hands-on dexterity of a skilled injector.

Douglas specializes in Botox, Dysport, dermal fillers, lip enhancements, and a range of aesthetic laser treatments. His approach centers on listening first — understanding exactly what each client wants before recommending any treatment — and delivering results that enhance natural features without overdoing it. The Glamoi #ditchthefilter philosophy is embodied in everything Douglas does.
